[Мод] Полез в старые треды, такая ностальгия нахлынула. Ёлки-палки, а ведь уже два с половиной года прошло с того времени. Вот сами письма, для истории:
Dear Mr. de Lancie, We are extremely sorry for such a delayed answer. We were so happy when we received your last letter, but the amount of joy we experienced seeing the statue in the documentary beside you is indescribable. You have written that you are interested in a story of the statue. So there it is. One day a brony shared photos of splendid dragon sculptures manufactured by a Canadian girl named Ellen (http://creaturesfromel.deviantart.com/). Soon enough an idea of commissioning Discord statue to her came up. Unfortunately, a single brony could not afford the costs, so we decided to pool the money and then another problem emerged – who will be the lucky owner of such a treasure. No one could take the responsibility, so we decided to give it to the man who have made so much for the fandom and brought us one of the best characters in the entire MLP series – to you. Preparations took almost a week – we were deciding how the statue would look like, which details to add, which not to, but in the end everyone in our small community had participated in the process. For several months we had been waiting for the sculpture to be made and been monitoring the progress. During that time many things happened, good and bad, and today we are still together as a community. Thank you very much for your work. Sincerely, Dobrobronies. P.S. The artist asked us not to make public her involvement in the project. Nevertheless we think that she deserves appreciation.

Dear Ellen, As you might remember, about a half a year ago we have commissioned to you a statue of Discord. We are happy to tell that it have found its new owner, made it in time and, moreover, became a fandom sensation. A bit of explanation if you do not mind. The sculpture was meant to John de Lancie, an actor who voiced a villain named Discord in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. We had been anticipating the end of your work and finally on 1st of December year 2012 the sculpture was delivered directly to Mr. de Lancie, whose reaction you may find in an attachment. And then thing got out of control as at the very moment Mr. de Lancie were participating in making of documentary about bronies, “Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony” and it was decided to put the statue on screen. After release of the documentary thousands of bronies had seen the sculpture and were amazed, many were interested in its origins. Speculations have spread across the community and unfortunately we were unable to do anything about it. However, it seems that true origins of the statue are still unknown to the general public, just as you asked us for. In conclusion we want to express our deepest gratitude for your work. Your creation will be remembered by many for a long time. Even if you are not a regular member of the fandom, your contribution is cannot be underestimated. Best wishes, Dobrobronies.
